Overflow’s December 17th event will feature sets performed by present-day Chicago artists B. Lilly Music! and Alysha Monique.
B. Lilly Music: With a sound that has been dubbed "a refreshing fusion of rhythm and blues, gospel, jazz, and hip hop" and a performance style reminiscent of musical legends, B. Lilly sings, writes and performs from his soul. Born and raised on Chicago's west side in the Austin community, he discovered his love for music at Greater St. John Bible Church listening to the band and choir. He's been creating and performing ever since. B. Lilly also has a heart for his community and has served as a school-based mentor with the College Mentoring Experience (founded by his dad, Bernard Lilly Sr. in 2014), where he led life-empowerment workshops for middle- and high-school youth. He is also a member of CHICAGO 200, a program for emerging leaders whose goal is to enhance the quality of life for residents across the city.
Alysha Monique: Bold, sensual vocalist, Alysha, mesmerizes audiences with the sultry vocal styling of jazz and soul music. Her endearing aura bewitches listeners into the essence of love, individuality and self-actualization. Surrounded by incredible musicians who strive to push their music to an innovative level, Alysha’s creativity and originality continue to ascend upward. Doors open at 6:30pm. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Concert will start ON TIME at 7 PM. The coffee bar will be open for food and beverage orders.
PARKING: Parking lot opens up at 6:30pm at Ivy Garden Learning Center (1455 S Michigan) next door to Overflow Coffee for $15. Paybox street parking is also available on Michigan Ave and adjacent streets (subject to random restrictions).
